Thanks to All!

Thanks to all who attended Central Valley ASSE’s monthly meeting. The meeting was very informative, as members Ward Scheitrum, CSP, CPEA, ARM, CSMS, SPHR-CA of Britz and David Gee, CSP, CHMM of Cal/OSHA Consultation did a presentation entitled “Internal Safety Audits/Inspections (SAI), as SAI is a key component of any legitimate Safety program.

There were 30 in attendance, although only 24 individuals registered and paid. Those in attendance were members Kent Baucher, Garry Chapman, Jim Mertz, Eric Anderson, Keith Forbes, William Quintana, Richard Wahl, Dean Stroud, Roger Pietz, John Davis, Aaron Christopherson, Katie Gardner, Marianne Cinfel, J.T. Parnell, Michelle Rodriguez and Sandi Donohue. Those non-members attending were Paul Lopez, Juanita Rodriguez, Daphne Price, David Zarate, Katherine Franco, Jim Mertz’s son and Jason Hurt.

Central Valley ASP/CSP Study Group

The ASP/CSP study group has elected to meet on a twice per month schedule, meeting on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. We are currently on our summer break and will resume study class in September. The meetings are being held at the BBSI office located at 7275 N. First Street in Fresno, CA, just north of Herndon Avenue. All members are welcome.

OSHA Weekly Reports of Fatalities, Catastrophes, and Other Events

This table provides links to weekly summaries of fatalities and catastrophes resulting in the hospitalization of three or more workers. Employers must report these incidents to OSHA within eight hours. The summaries below include only preliminary information, as reported to OSHA Area Offices or to States which operate OSHA-approved State Plans. OSHA investigates all work-related fatalities and catastrophes. Once the OSHA investigation is complete, these summary reports below will be updated with webpage links to their corresponding inspections, which lists citation information.
